Script: Shoot an arrow twice as fast.

Hmmm that's pretty pityful even for an elite.

How about adding something on to it. Like cannot be blocked (Not like called shot)

or adding a condition to it. Make it a worthy elite to have. Not something that's going to just take up space on the skill list. I'd rather have quick shot do something more than just fire fast. How about "If under the effects of a enchantment causes Dazed for X amount of seconds." Or "If under the effects of a preparation Quick shot does X amount additional dmg"

Think about it. It's pretty weak atm. Needs a buff. A long time awaited too.

Tiger's Fury + Kindle Arrows + Spaming Quick Shot = instant death for anything in a matter of seconds. It was kinda the prototype of Needling Shot Pre-Factions.
Now, that build isn't good. It has no energy management and generally is just something to play around with in PvE, but it does work. Keep in mind that the real use of this skill is that it has a set usage time of 1 second (which can be shortened using a IAS Stance), meaning you can use a horn or longbow with it to spam attacks.
Quick shot is pretty bad and has no place in PvP... but combinations to use it do exist, they are rather just obsecure.

I would still agree with swordkeeper on this one, every time I look at that skill, (and yes I used it in the past with preps and speedboosts for quick single target dmg) I still say... huh?...
It realy isnt worthy of being elite, it needs to do something more, not something that makes it a near clone of another skill though. say just causes cracked armor or somethin for 5 seconds, or if blocked/evaded causes cripple (like its so fast that they sprained their ankle trying to avoid it) lol
i know hairbrained ideas right ^^

yea cracked armour would be a good one.

(arrow's fired so fast it fractures the armour if blocked)

that works.

this comba can be much more effective now ... vs. single targets

Set expertise to at least 10

put in any skill, that increases your attack speed and damage either actively or passively

then take the Skills:

Needle Shot and Expert Focus, ..together with Expert Focus and Expertise you can easily lower the energy cost from 5 to 1, while u keep up the preparastion, which also increases your damage... with an energy reg of 3 and spamming needle shot with only 1 energy cost u can perma spam that skill at foes, which are under 50% hp... and et voila

there you have your railgun ranger which shoots at enemies a real staccatto of arrows


My beloved Railgun ranger Build (relies on Monk for rez/prot)

Expert Focus, Needle Shot, Troll Urgent, Distracting Shot, Tripple Shot, "Finish Him"!!, Favorable Winds, Serpent's Quickness.

Activate Serpent's Quickness, set at safe spot for the spirit, activate focus and support someone attacking with tripple shot, then when the foe is at 50% use finish him on foe, set up focus again if needed and start spamming needles like a railgun on the foe, which will quick fall down, when nothign will heal the foe quick above 50% hp, if the foe gets healed you start again with tripple shot to get the hp back to under 50%, reuse finish him ect. and keep up the skill cycle thats needed to perform rail gun shoots on your foe

Pros:
- very quick single target killer of weakened enemies
- doesnt even need an elite skill XD...

Contras:
- to be so effective, you have to sacrifice on rez and defensive skills, meaning, ur easy dead meat for melees
- but therefore 2 pve only skills

Don't make it unblockable, but make it so if it is blocked they have cracked armor, or any condition, for however long.

I'm all for the cracked armour add-on myself. That'd at least make it just a little bit more decent.

If we wanted a quickshot just use [skill]Called Shot[/skill]

so yea...at least with quickshot adding cracked armour to it would give it some more funtuallity and give the players something to look forward to using again. =)

Default Quick shot should be a rune

A prefix or suffix, it should be

or dexterity. which in GW we don't have, which i think should add some fun to the game in general, afterall if you are not flexible and have low dexterity, you are pretty much not very compatible in combat.

should be a general runes that can be added to any weapon.

haha.

Using preparations to enhance certain bow skills makes even simpilest skill deadly, but quickshot's just lame. even with [skill]Ignite arrows[/skill] or even
[skill]apply poison[/skill] it's still lame because it doesnt do any additional dmg, it's more or less a clone of [skill]Called Shot[/skill] without the unblockable dmg and lets be real here no-one in the game uses it!

Adding the UNBLOCK? Hmm too powerful HA Ha ha.....!!! Warmonger? gg? Oh NO, Splinter with Explode. WOW HUGE AoE baby! Omg, new Meta HA Ha ha....!!! Adding a condition? Poision arrow is there baby! If need to be changed, I would say 1/4 sec cast. Quick shot but not quick at all! And Make it so that no delay after shot!

Well... I think the OP is missing the big difference between Quick Shot and Called Shot.
Called shot has no activation set time, which means it fire at the same speed as a normal attack. Which with a flat bow is 1.7 seconds.
Now look at quick shot. It has a set 1s activation rate. With an IAS stance. you can cut that down to .5 seconds. Quick shot is similar to savage/distracting shot. It has a set fire speed, meaning it actually does fire FASTER.

it is a non attribute skill that is one reason and it goes well with RW along with FW.

um not really.

[skill]Splinter weapon[/skill]

That skill has long since been nerfed.
it's supposed to only hit 3 target foes now not
all.

and

[skill]ignite arrows[/skill]
is still lower than low with the power.

Make sure you check your sources correctly before attempting to clarify something with isnt completely true.

Aye it does but you wont be able to launch the same dmg as you were before the Splinter nerf.
